Afterburner Coffee Co Brand Identity

I created this brand identity as a prospective project for a real client I found online called Afterburner Coffee Co. The company was a small coffee food truck run by two Air Force veterans. One of the photos they shared for their vision included an F-22 Raptor, which I traced to create the primary logo mark.

I see a lot of brand identities for veteran-owned organizations adopt overtly military-themed aesthetics (camo, green, brown, etc.). With this project I wanted to let the client have their military theme while communicating to customers that this was a mobile coffee business unaffiliated with the military.

I chose a black and gold aesthetic, kept the primary mark minimal, and chose sans serif, easy-to-read typefaces. The intention with this was to allow more people to read the text at larger events.
