Tenn Pin Alley Event Cards

I worked part time for a bowling alley in Columbia, Tennessee in 2023 for a few months. When I first met with Jared Harrelson, director of operations, he expressed disappointment in the current designs of their event cards and hoped I could do a better job. The text, layout hierarchy, and design was very cluttered, leading to an unattractive sales and marketing tool.

I completely redesigned the event cards from scratch in Adobe Photoshop, choosing new stock photography and typography from Adobe Stock, designing a background image that looks like a bowling ball texture, and selecting a fresh, vibrant, neon-like color palette to visually showcase Tenn Pin’s variety of packages and offerings. These new assets combined to create a bold and exciting new visual identity that matched leadership’s desire to better compete with more upscale family entertainment options just up the road in Franklin, Tennessee.

I also advised Jared periodically on social media strategy and web design best practices, helped create and organize new media assets, created promotional video content for social media stories with the owner, Derek Ransom, advised their operations director on equipment needs to create new marketing assets, and took photos of some of their restaurant specials to help their specials stand out more on their menus.

I created the icons pictured below for Tenn Pin Alley to help better show the different attraction options so they would be consistent in all marketing collateral (and to avoid copyright issues). I started with drawings on paper and brought them into Illustrator to vectorize. As a result, no other organization will have these exact icons, and Tenn Pin will retain full, unique ownership with no ongoing cost.

After designing the below posters for Tenn Pin, I worked with a local vendor to get two large posters made of these designs to stand in the hallway during the holidays to advertise their holiday party events package.
